What is a visit to the optometrist like?

A visit to an optometric clinic begins with the optometrist taking a detailed interview with the patient regarding vision problems, the time of their onset, other circumstances that may trigger visual discomfort, the nature of their work, and the amount of time spent on the computer or phone. The optometrist will perform a computer-assisted eye examination.

It is a good idea to bring the glasses or contact lenses you currently wear to your appointment at the optometric clinic.

• detecting eye disorders,
