Where to get night and holiday healthcare
Night and holiday healthcare operates under principles similar to those of primary healthcare. Under this form of care, you can receive medical assistance from an on-call doctor who will provide consultations:
- in an outpatient setting,
- by phone,
- and at your place of residence or stay, if medically necessary.
Additionally, the nurse will provide the necessary medical services:
- also in outpatient settings,
- and in medically justified cases – directly at the patient's place of residence or stay.
In what situations can you see a doctor (nurse) for night and holiday health care?
- In the event of a sudden illness or deterioration of health that does not pose a direct threat to life.
- When there is a serious deterioration in health and home treatments or over-the-counter medications do not bring the expected improvement.
- If you delay your visit until the primary care clinic is open, it may negatively impact your health.
- In case of worsening symptoms of a chronic disease.
- For respiratory infections that occur with high fever.
- In the case of abdominal pain that does not subside despite the use of antispasmodic drugs.
- If your headaches persist despite taking painkillers.
- If diarrhea or vomiting occurs, especially in children or the elderly.
