Scope of care provided by a primary care nurse

A nurse providing care within the framework of primary health care (POZ) carries out procedures for patients who have submitted a declaration of choice to her, as well as for patients not on her list – in the event of the need to continue treatment, based on medical records and orders from doctors cooperating with the National Health Fund.

Taking samples for diagnostic analyses at the patient's home is only possible upon the express request of a primary care physician, and the patient must be registered with that physician.

Nurse office hours and home visits are scheduled according to the nurse's work schedule. In cases requiring immediate medical intervention, services are provided immediately or on the same day of the request. In cases of chronic illness and other conditions, appointments are scheduled individually with the patient.
