The allergy clinic specializes in diagnosing and treating conditions caused by environmental allergens, which trigger allergic reactions in both children and adults. The allergist's role is to provide basic diagnosis and treatment for conditions such as atopic dermatitis, urticaria, allergic asthma, and more.
The allergy clinic also provides access to specialized tests, such as:
- allergy skin tests,
- allergy blood tests,
- spirometry tests,
- immunotherapy, i.e. desensitization,
- laboratory tests.
If necessary, the allergist may also order other tests to detect allergens – total IgE and panels of tests to diagnose various types of allergies: food, inhalant, insect venom, mixed.
