A hematologist treats health problems such as anemia, blood clotting disorders, and blood cancers. Indications for referral to a pediatric hematologist include bleeding, chronic fatigue, sudden weight loss, loss of appetite, and increased drowsiness.
The pediatric hematology clinic also provides access to specialized tests, such as:
