A clinical oncologist diagnoses pre-cancerous and cancerous conditions and their complications. If you have worrisome symptoms, the appearance of a lump or the presence of a genetic burden (cancer among immediate family members), you can make an appointment for an oncology consultation. The oncologist can order comprehensive tests for pre-cancer prevention.
The oncology outpatient clinic provides access to specialized tests, such as:
- Laboratory tests, including cancer markers,
- Ultrasound of individual organs,
- mammography,
- endoscopic examinations,
- X-RAY.
Depending on your needs, your oncologist may also order other tests: a CT scan, an MRI.
