Chickenpox

To get vaccinated, book an appointment for a medical qualification.
The qualification is valid for 24 hours from the date it is issued.

This live vaccine is used in children 9 months of age and older and in adults to prevent chickenpox. It induces immunity by producing antibodies.

  • People who are particularly recommended to be vaccinated:
    The vaccine is recommended for healthy individuals and for high-risk patients (at risk of severe chickenpox):
    – patients with leukemia,
    – patients receiving medications that suppress the immune system (immunosuppressive therapy),
    – patients eligible for organ transplantation,
    – patients with severe chronic diseases,
    – people in close contact with high-risk patients.
    Travelers:
    – people traveling to areas with a high incidence of chickenpox.
  • Age recommendations:
    From 9 months of age.
  • Vaccination schedule:
    Children from 9 months of age and adults – 2 doses, at least 6 weeks apart.
    High-risk patients may require additional doses.
    Eligibility is required before each dose.
