Yellow fever is a vaccine that provides protection against a serious infectious disease – yellow fever (ague).
- Indications for use:
Yellow fever occurs in some areas of the world and is transmitted to humans through the bites of infected mosquitoes. - Persons for whom vaccination is particularly recommended:
– those travelling, arriving or residing in an area where yellow fever is present,
– those travelling to any country that requires an International Certificate of Vaccination (yellow booklet) for entry,
– in cases of transit through several countries that include regions at risk of yellow fever,
– those handling infectious material, such as laboratory staff. - Age recommendations:
Over 9 months of age. - Vaccination schedule:
Children over 9 months of age, adults – one dose.
The entry in the yellow booklet becomes valid 10 days after vaccination.
