Who is a CT scan for?

Computed tomography (CT) is intended for patients whose doctors suspect internal diseases or injuries that are not visible on standard X-rays or ultrasounds. It utilizes modern 3D imaging technology to obtain highly accurate cross-sections of organs and tissues, significantly facilitating accurate diagnosis. It is performed for conditions such as headaches, injuries, and lung, abdominal, and skeletal diseases. The test is also helpful in diagnosing cancer, assessing its extent, and planning treatment, both before and after surgical procedures to assess the effects of treatment.

Modern technology, comfort and precision

The Computed Tomography Laboratory at CM LUXMED is equipped with a modern 64-slice GE Optima 660 computed tomography scanner . This device enables fast, safe, and extremely accurate imaging, distinguishing it from standard CT equipment.

✓  Greater diagnostic precision

Thanks to the 64-row detector, we obtain very thin image slices (as small as 0.62 mm) . This means exceptionally detailed representation of anatomical structures and lesions.

 Faster and more comfortable examination

By using the spiral technique, we can shorten the examination time to the bare minimum. Shorter examination times mean less discomfort, especially for people who have difficulty lying still for long periods.

Better vascular imaging

Advanced imaging technology allows for precise visualization of the vascular system.

Innovative 3D reconstruction

When included in bone and joint examinations, it enables better assessment, more accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
