Description of the study
Laryngological (therapeutic) inhalations used to treat diseases of the middle ear, Eustachian tube, paranasal sinuses and, in particular, impaired patency of the Eustachian tube.
The pneumatic inhaler can generate a vibroaerosol, an aerosol enriched with additional energy derived from the application of an acoustic wave and administered under short-term positive pressure. This positive pressure allows the aerosol to penetrate the middle ear through the Eustachian tube and into the sinuses, even through obstructed openings. In the inhaler, the positive pressure is automatically regulated by swallowing. Swallowing causes the opening of the Eustachian tube while simultaneously closing the nasal cavity by lifting the soft palate. Through the appropriate nasal tip of the inhaler, the positive pressure forces the vibroaerosol into the Eustachian tube and middle ear. Repeating this process induces natural physiotherapy of the tube.
The treatments are painless and safe.

It is recommended to use inhalations in series of 10, 2-3 times a week. They can also be performed daily as directed by a physician. Inhalations can be repeated 2-3 times a year, especially in chronic conditions.
Indications
Inhalations are used:
- in the treatment of Eustachian tube patency disorders,
- in the treatment of chronic sinusitis in children and adults,
- as an alternative to surgical treatment in children, adenoidectomy and middle ear drainage.
Contraindications
- fever, thick runny nose.
