Insured patients have the option of using free dental services guaranteed by the National Health Fund (NFZ). However, it's important to remember that not all dental services are free, and if a non-reimbursed procedure is performed or the patient opts for higher-quality materials, they will be required to pay for the service.

For adults, the National Health Fund reimburses:
- dental examination with oral hygiene instructions – once a year,
- dental check-up – once a quarter,
- periapical X-ray twice a year – in combination with the treatment service,
- A panoramic X-ray is ordered for endodontic treatment and before the commencement of prosthetic dental services, once every 5 years in conjunction with the treatment service. The physician decides whether a panoramic X-ray is necessary! A referral is issued by a dentist with specialization or a dentist undergoing specialization training.
- treatment of caries - fillings made of chemically cured materials
- chemically cured fillings in the front teeth (i.e. from 3 to 3) – upper and lower,
- chemically cured fillings in all remaining teeth,
- root canal treatment of the front teeth (i.e. 3 to 3), both upper and lower,
- scaling – once a year,
- minor surgical procedures,
- treatment of lesions of the oral mucosa,
- treatment of periodontal diseases,
For children and adolescents up to 18 years of age, the following are reimbursed:
- dental examination with oral hygiene instructions – once a year,
- dental check-up – once a quarter,
- varnishing of permanent teeth – once every three months,
- sealing of sixth teeth until the age of 8.
- sealing of the seventh teeth until the age of 14.
- scaling – once a year,
- treatment of caries in primary and permanent teeth,
- root canal treatment of all teeth,
- light-cured fillings in the front teeth (from 3 to 3) – upper and lower,
- chemically cured fillings in the remaining teeth,
- periapical X-ray twice a year – in combination with the treatment service,
- panoramic radiograph from the age of 5 to 18 in justified medical cases when there is suspicion of dental developmental abnormalities, pathological changes in the jaw bones or periodontitis, once every 3 years in combination with a treatment service,
- treatment of diseases of the oral mucosa,
- treatment of periodontal diseases,
- removal of baby and permanent teeth,
- abscess incision,
- treatment of mucous membrane wounds,
Women during pregnancy and the postpartum period
In addition to standard services available to adults, patients can benefit from additional procedures:
- removal of tartar from all teeth no more than once every 6 months,
- root canal treatment of all teeth,
Prosthetics
- Among prosthetic works, only acrylic dentures that can be replaced with at least 5 missing teeth are reimbursed by the National Health Fund - once every 5 years (2 arches are eligible).
- an overdenture-type prosthesis based on the protected roots of teeth that have previously been properly endodontically treated, which do not require removal and can serve as a support for the prosthesis.
- denture repair, denture relining – once every 2 years,
All types of crowns, bridges, frame dentures and other work are fully paid.
When choosing services reimbursed by the National Health Fund, partial co-payment for a different type of filling is not possible. If the patient chooses a filling made of a material other than the guaranteed one, they will be required to pay for it according to the commercial price list.
