Dental sandblasting (plaque removal) is one of the basic cosmetic and preventive procedures. It involves the removal of all deposits from the teeth using a so-called sandblaster, a special device that directs a stream of dental sand onto the teeth.
- Sandblasting can be a stand-alone treatment when there is only plaque on the teeth, or a follow-up treatment for scalping,
- Comprehensive teeth cleaning most often includes both procedures and is necessary before teeth whitening,
- Systematic removal of deposits by sandblasting allows to achieve the effect of shiny, well-groomed teeth.
In addition to its aesthetic importance, tooth sandblasting treatment also has a preventive function - it protects against the development of caries.
