ALEX test – 282 allergens test!
Is it Allergy?
Allergies are a common problem. We know that they are a condition that is becoming increasingly common, regardless of age or location. We know that people can be allergic to virtually anything, from plants, animal dander, insect venom, chemicals, and medications.
But do we really know what an allergy is and what its causes are?
Is it possible to quickly and precisely diagnose allergies and determine the cause of many ailments in just one test?
A tendency to develop allergies is often inherited from parents and grandparents, so allergies often run in families. This condition results from the immune system's response to a substance that is not inherently harmful to humans. It is based on the production of antibodies—IgE immunoglobulins—in response to contact with common environmental substances called allergens. Binding of allergens to IgE antibodies leads to the release of so-called allergic reaction mediators, responsible for the development of allergic inflammation and, consequently, the onset of disease symptoms.
If you often have:
- runny nose, stuffy nose, sneezing fits,
- food hypersensitivity,
- conjunctivitis, redness and burning of the eyes,
- recurrent bronchitis and upper respiratory tract infections,
- symptoms of shortness of breath,
- cough without signs of acute infection,
- itchy skin lesions,
- hives,
check if you suffer from allergies!
Test – the shortest way to find the cause of allergies
ALEX is an innovative test for diagnosing IgE-dependent allergies. It currently enables the detection of the broadest spectrum of allergens in a single blood sample . It can identify up to 282 allergen components (whole allergens and individual molecules).
ALEX, by identifying not only whole allergens but also the proteins that make them up, significantly increases the accuracy of the test compared to traditional methods of detecting IgE antibodies to whole allergens.
The ALEX test can be used to confirm the allergic origin of: asthma , atopic dermatitis , urticaria, rhinitis, conjunctivitis, food hypersensitivity, skin lesions, breathing disorders , adverse reactions after bee or wasp stings.
The test is particularly recommended for people who have had anaphylactic reactions in the past, as well as for people with a family history of allergic diseases and when the level of Total IgE in the blood serum is above the norm.
The ALEX test simultaneously detects up to 282 clinically significant allergens! It provides a comprehensive picture of allergies, pinpointing the underlying causes. It allows you to distinguish between allergies and symptoms caused by cross-reactions. This allows you to predict the risk of life-threatening anaphylactic shock.
The test can be performed at any age. A very small amount of blood is required for the test. There's no need to discontinue medications, including allergy medications. Using the ALEX test significantly shortens the time it takes to diagnose a patient.
